track #

1. Intro A decade too late. Rating: 3/10

2. Don’t Hate The Playa He reaches for words to rhyme and it sounds silly. Rating: 4/10

3. Check Your Game King Tee steals the show; not much more than an amateur show by a veteran who tells everyone else not to slip. But he doesn’t follow his own advice. Rating: 4.5/10

4. Get Your Moneyman The beats sound as tired as the rhymes. Rating: 3/10

5. The 7th Ant Banks joins Ice T on a track that rolls on like an anthem but falls short. Rating: 5/10

6. NY NY Ice T talking about kicking someone to the curb? I remember the Fresh Prince bringing those rhymes out ten years ago. And now he says others don’t live their rhymes? Come on, does he think we believe this? He lends his voice to a cartoon teddy bear, for goodness sakes. Rating: 2/10

7. Valuable Game Oh, no. Ice T rips off En Vogue in his shameless chorus. He tells the story of how hip-hop saved his life, yadda, yadda, yadda. He’s no poet, at least not anymore. I’m bored and I have fourteen more tracks to listen to. Rating: 3/10

8. Eye Of The Storm Decent track. Rating: 5/10

9. Interlude Yawn. Rating: N/A

10. Always Wanted Ta Be A Hoe The title says it all. Rating: 1/10

11. Fuck It Are you kidding me? Rating: 2/10

12. Interlude Rating: N/A

13. Retaliation Nothing special. Rating: 5/10

14. Interlude Rating: N/A

15. Check Your Heart The intro is a dream sequence lamer than words can express, and the rhymes aren’t much better. Rating: 1/10

16. Interlude Rating: N/A

17. Hardcore Take a breath, already. The hyper flow doesn’t come from Ice T but from Radzay. Rating: 6/10

18. Common Sense With its Mortal Kombat sound effects and story line that goes somewhere right to nowhere, this just doesn’t do it for me. Rating: 4/10

19. Interlude Rating: N/A

20. God Forgive Me Ice T claims that Gangsta Rap changed the world when it was created in 1982. That is just the kind of idiotic nonsense that makes this entire album a joke. Rating: 3/10

Twenty-six guest stars and not one of them could save this titanic mess. I liked Ice T back in the day, but those days are long gone.

Overall rating: 3.5/10
