The album that Spin chose as the “#1 Record You Didn’t Hear in 2000,” Idlewild’s “100 Broken Windows,” will be released in the US on March 13, 2001. Already a critical and commercial success in the rest of the world, “100 Broken Windows” retains the fierceness of old, but demonstrates the band’s progression with a greater emphasis on harmony and lyrics.
“100 Broken Windows” was recorded across 4 countries (Scotland, England, Wales and the United States) and with two different producers, Dave Eringa (Manic Street Preachers) and Bob Weston (Shellac, Sebadoh).
After a year that had the band sharing the stage with Unkle, Placebo and Garbage, Idlewild will be bringing their explosive, high energy live show to the US this spring, including a highly anticipated SXSW debut.
