IMX – IMX

IMX
Artist: IMX
Title: IMX
Label: New Line Records
Rating: 5/10

Remember Immature? Well, the name Immature just doesn’t seem to fit when puberty comes and goes and college is out on the horizon. IMX doesn’t find a group reborn, just older.

The problem with IMX is that they sound older, but their songs sound just plain old and dated. “Hate The Game” is nothing new, and as a matter of fact it sounds too much like Sisqo, as does “Ain’t No Need”. They should have realized when they started recording that Sisqo and his sound would be yesterday’s news.

IMX can sing, but it doesn’t seem like they can find good songs. The lowest point for this album is their songs. “Clap Your Hands” is terribly annoying yet they bring two versions of it. IMX’s lack of good songs and copycat tracks never allows them to get off.
