Corporate Line: Hootie & the Blowfish rocks back onto the music scene with the forthcoming release of their first album of all-new material in over four years!
The Good:
“Tear Fall Down” – Perhaps the only time I’ve ever really felt a Hootie track.
“Innocense” and “I’ll Come Runnin’” – Nice ballads, but skimpy on good lyrics.
“Show Me Your Heart” – The slow songs are the best songs, but it seems there are one too many.
The Marginal:
“Deeper Side” – Typical Hootie.
“Space” – Leaning close to all their usual radio singles.
The Bad:
“Little Brother” – Poor lyrics and the rest isn’t any better.
“Go And Tell Him” – Yuck.
Frankly: Hootie isn’t reinventing the Blowfish. It’s the same old same old.
