George Harrison – Brainwashed

George Harrison
Artist: George Harrison
Title: Brainwashed
Label: Capitol
Rating: 8/10

George Harrison is always the last named Beatle whenever someone is asked ‘do you know the four members of the Beatles?’ It’s a shame too. Although George was labeled the shy one he absolutely cannot be overlooked. His contributions with the Beatles and as a solo artist will stand the test of time and remember by our kids’ kids.
Brainwashed wasn’t completed after George passed least year. The record was completed by his son Dhani and Jeff Lynne (ELO). All Things Must Pass was George’s signature masterpiece thankfully he left us with one more masterful and beautiful reminder of his powerful musical abilities.

Powerful:
“Any Road” – Sounds like it was made twenty years ago. George sounds rejuvenated.
“P2 Vatican Blues (Last Saturday Night)” – George seems to take cancer with a wink and a nod.
“Marwa Blues” – George gives us one hell of a beautiful instrumental. You only hope George is sitting in Heaven doing the same thing.
“Between The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea” – A simple Ukulele and George start off a song that is absolutely gorgeous.

Potent:
“Pisces Fish” – Gorgeous guitar piece and a very poignant piece.
“Looking For My Life” – Almost painful to listen to George singing about looking for his life. “Had no idea that I was heading/To a state of emergency.”
“Stuck Inside A Cloud” – A bitter pill to swallow. It’s lovely but hard to take because he knew what was coming soon.

Pass:
Nothing gets passed over here.

I can only wish this would never end. It’s sad to know it has to.
