Halfcocked is the first signing to Megatronic Records run by Powerman 5000 frontman Spider One. So now that they have their roots planted in Boston, can they take those roots and build upon them further?
“I Lied” breaks it off fierce, but not supersonically. “Drive Away” is a high-speed ride. The problem is that most of The Last Star is downhill. The tracks start to meld together. There seems to be a lack of soul and a real lack of something new. Each track is so similar that my mind wandered from track three on and I didn’t even notice until the album actually ended.
