Bang! Austin is really cranking out the rock bands lately. The city’s latest export is Goudie. Their first single, “Baby Hello”, offers a sick sound that’s out of the ordinary, which is a nice change of pace.
“Sugar Daddy” has a distinctly kick ass groove. Goudie goes from rock to roll in minutes, but serves dishes that are different time and again. It easily stays interesting.
“Shy” is a tortured love quest. The last track, “When Will You Be Mine”, finds Aimee Mann guest starring. Goudie has everything needed to be huge: great melodies, a unique sound, and a cocksure attitude.
