Bryan Ferry – Frantic

Bryan Ferry
Artist: Bryan Ferry
Title: Frantic
Label: Virgin
Rating: 5/10

Bryan Ferry? Isn’t this name already taken? You know by the guy who sang ‘Don’t Worry Be Happy”? Guess not.
This Bryan Ferry sounds like a Bob Dylan disciple who found his way into Chris Issak’s library.

Frantic:
There is nothing frantic about Bryan Ferry.

Slower:
“It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue” – a country folk mixture that doesn’t go far.
“Cruel” – Better songs have used this title.
“Goddess Of Love” – Thought he was onto something, I was mistaken.
“Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” – Potential, potential, potential.
“Goodnight Irene” – couldn’t touch the songs original singer/songwriter Ledbelly.

Tepid:
“Hiroshima” and “San Simeon” – terrible.
