Missy Elliott always brings it hot. Perhaps the most interesting track is the actual record intro where she asks for peace, love and harmony among hip-hoppers and for the rest of us to take some time and smell the roses.
Flow:
“Go To The Floor” – The groove is hot and Missy drops it solid.
“Work It” – Timbaland again drops the hottest beats. Off course Missy works it.
“Back In The Day” – Hip hop was a lot of fun back in the days and Missy points it out and wonders what happened to those days. Good question.
“Pussycat” – Missy gets off singing. Dig it.
Glow:
“Play That Beat” – The satire is strong and makes you smile.
“Bring The Pain” – Missy dominates with Method Man.
Slow:
“Can You Hear Me” – A track with TLC dedicated to the loss of Aaliyah. I feel her pain, but the track is weak.
One can only hope that Missy’s message gets across. It’s easier to love than to hate.
