Dirty Walt is one fifth of Fishbone and is in possession of a funky, deep soul voice, but it’s used for all the wrong reasons on his first solo album, To Put It Bluntly. The only song worthy of a listen, and the number of listens will change from user to user which for me meant once, is “Who Do You Believe”. It’s Dirty Walt’s adventure into political soul. It’s meant to be serious, I assume, but it is impossible to swallow.
