The Steve Miller Band released “Bingo!”

The Steve Miller Band "Bingo"Legendary rock icons The Steve Miller Band have released have released a brand new studio album. A true return to Miller’s roots, BINGO! echoes his early years in the Chicago music scene and features carefully chosen and crafted tracks performed in distinctive Steve Miller Band fashion.

Co-produced by Steve Miller and engineer Andy Johns (Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix), BINGO! is the first of two albums recorded at George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch. The sessions introduced new band member Sonny Charles, a veteran vocalist of the Checkmates, who will also be on the road this summer with Miller. These were the final sessions by harmonica player and vocalist Norton Buffalo, Miller’s “partner in harmony” for 33 years, who died of cancer in October 2009.

BINGO! is now available in 2 formats from both Amazon and iTunes: a 10-track digipack CD and a special edition with 4 bonus tracks and expanded artwork. The album’s artwork is a creation of Storm Thorgerson whose album packages for Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd are the gold standard in artistic design. BINGO! is a fully realized mature work of a master craftsman, and in a sense, the album Steve Miller has been waiting to make all his life.

In support of the band’s release, Steve Miller will be the featured guest on the nationally syndicated radio show ROCKLINE with host Bob Coburn on Wednesday June 16 at 8:30pm PT / 11:30pm ET.
