From the electronic production duo that brought us underground party anthems “Stargazer” and “Legend”, Deepsky releases their first full-length debut for all to cherish. With countless remixes and 12″singles under their belt J.Scott Giaquinta and Jason Blum take progressive dance diehards to the next level with In Silico.
IS IT HIP?
Armed with their patent pounding grooves and a unique melody style built for techno, Deepsky engineers a beautiful 11-track album that never seems to get too old or sappy for the progressive genre. In Silico is brilliantly pieced together by using computer software to create and mix the album into a continuous flow from start to finish. There is a nice balance of songs ranging from hard driving rhythms of “Jareth’s Church” and “Ride”, to the layered symphonic breakbeats of “Let Me Live”, to the gritty techno beats of “Smile”. For “Smile”, Deepsky brought in the vocal and writing talents of former Republica lead singer, Safforn. With Deepsky’s ingenuity slamming home the beats, Saffron dominates the song with an overpowering vocal performance. “Smile” is a song that would shake up dismal radio and turn some new people on to Deepsky.
