Two-time Grammy Award-winning Radio Killa/Def Jam recording artist The-Dream has completed LOVE KING, the third volume of his ‘Love’ album trilogy, set for June 29th release on Radio Killa/Def Jam Recordings. The upcoming album has already spun off two advance tracks – “Love King” and the brand new “Make-Up Bag” featuring T.I. (which impacted Urban radio three weeks ago, and hit Rhythm formats on June 1st). LOVE KING follows up Love vs. Money (#1 pop, #2 R&B, released March 2009), and The-Dream’s RIAA gold debut album, Love Hate (December 2007).

The track list sequence for LOVE KING is as follows (subject to change): 1. Love King * 2. Make Up Bag featuring T.I. * 3. F.I.L.A. * 4. Sex Intelligent * 5. Sex Intelligent Remix * 6. Yamaha * 7. Nikki Part 2 * 8. Abyss * 9. Panties To The Side * 10. Turnt Out * 11. February Love * 12. Florida University * Deluxe Version bonus tracks: 13. Veteran * 14. Priceless * 15. Take Care Of Me * 16. All Black Everything * 17. Sorry * 18. Love King Remix featuring Ludacris * iTunes bonus track: Love King Remix featuring Young Jeezy.

In support of LOVE KING’s release, The-Dream will cover The Fader’s ‘Summer Music’ issue, and will perform on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Tuesday, June 29th at 12:05 a.m. ET/PT on ABC.

Love vs. Money, which entered Soundscan at #2 and rose to #1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, sourced a trio of top-charted R&B hits: “Rockin’ That Thang” (whose special Rap Remix featured the ‘Def Jam All-Stars’ lineup of Ludacris, Rick Ross, Fabolous, and Juelz Santana). “My Love” featuring Mariah Carey (whose video was directed in Los Angeles by Nick Cannon); and “Walkin’ on the Moon” featuring Kanye West (with a video directed by Hype Williams and featuring Kanye).

The-Dream first made headlines in 2007-2008, when he proved himself a masterful hit songwriter for Rihanna (“Umbrella”), Mariah Carey (“Touch My Body”), J. Holiday (“The Bed,” “Suffocate”), and Beyoncé (“Single Ladies”). The-Dream wrote several songs (among them “Just Fine”) on Mary J. Blige’s Growing Pains (2007), which won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary R&B Album. In 2008, The-Dream played his first major cross-country North American tour, joining Mary J. and Jay-Z for their 22-city “Heart Of The City” tour.

The-Dream’s debut album Love Hate produced back-to-back hits that dominated 2008, including “Shawty Is A 10” featuring Fabolous (Top 10 R&B); “Falsetto” (#3 R&B); and “I Luv Your Girl” (#1 Rhythmic, #3 R&B). In addition to his hits for Rihanna, Mariah Carey, and J. Holiday, The-Dream’s streak continued in 2008 with several other high-profile tracks: “You” from Chris Brown’s album Exclusive; “Skies of L.A.,” the climactic closing track of Celine Dion’s Taking Chances; and “Moving Mountains” from Usher’s Where I Stand.

The-Dream won Best New Artist honors at the 2008 BET Awards – in addition to his Grammy Award nomination for Song Of The Year for “Umbrella” (as songwriter), and American Music Award nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Earlier this year, he shared Grammy Award honors as one of the songwriters on Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It),” which won for Song of the Year and Best R&B Song.
