Adelitas Way
Hot off the success of their tour with Chevelle and Three Days Grace, cutting edge Las Vegas rockers Adelitas Way announce dates with Puddle Of Mudd this Spring. No strangers to the road, Adelitas Way have already completed tours with Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, Theory Of A Deadman, Breaking Benjamin, and Shinedown. The Puddle of Mudd tour will take them to both new and familiar venues, stopping along the way to play KQRC Rockfest and Rock on the Range.

Their self-titled debut album is full of hard, edgy modern rock anthems, with current single ‘Last Stand’ leading the way and impacting radio now. The album’s kick off single, the power-rock anthem ‘Invincible,’ has exploded on to the charts, scoring them a Top 5 record at Active Rock. Songs from the album can be heard on MTV, CSI Miami, ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, Monday Night Football, on the Yankees Stadium highlights reel, as the WWE Superstars theme song, and most recently ‘Invincible’ will be featured in the motion picture trailer for The Losers.

The band, formed by lead-singer Rick DeJesus is joined by Trevor Stafford, an in-demand tour and studio drummer, who was on Ozzfest with the band Shuvel at 17, New York-bred bassist Derek Johnston, West Virginia native guitarist Keith Wallen and Creighton Bibbs of Kansas City, who all joined after the record was complete. Each brings indie, hardcore and classic rock influences to the Adelitas Way stew.

Puddle Of Mudd Announce New Single And US Tour Dates

Puddle of Mudd
After a successful winter tour through the thick of 2010’s epic snowfall in the east, multi-platinum rockers Puddle of Mudd, will continue their tour for warm weather west coasters. “As a California resident, I’m looking forward to heating up my adopted state with more new music from Volume 4” says frontman Wes Scantlin, adding “but we will be making our way east as well!”

The tour kicks off on April 1st in Anaheim, CA and extends into the spring summer with festival dates, including Rock On The Range, May 22 in Columbus OH. On the road, Puddle of Mudd will highlight a musical career created for and crafted by a close relationship with their fans. “We write songs for our fans, so you better believe we’ll continue to play the hits along the way” states Scantlin. And there is a long line of hits to be had – including “Blurry,” “She Hates Me,” “Control,” “Psycho” and the first track from Volume 4, “Spaceship.” The tour actually began on January 21st in Providence, RI and included sold out stops at NYC’s Nokia Theatre and more. This latest leg hits San Francisco, Reno, Denver and then winds its way back through the Midwest and all the way down to Tampa. Enthused to be back on the road, Scantlin says, “we are always excited to be performing together in front of our fans, and are looking forward to bringing it to those in warmer weather, who’ve patiently waited these last few months.”

For this run, the lead off track from Volume 4, “Stoned” is currently impacting at radio. Will it hit number one? Well, why wouldn’t it? Since Puddle of Mudd’s 2001 debut album, “Come Clean,” the group has had five #1 songs on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart, tied for second-most this decade with 3 Doors Down, Godsmack and Linkin Park – (Billboard Magazine, 11/28). With the release their fourth studio set, VOLUME 4: SONGS IN THE KEY OF LOVE & HATE, last December, Puddle Of Mudd have clearly continued perform their way into the hearts and heartland of America.

Puddle of Mudd’s lead singer Wes Scantlin injurys foot

“I was kind of hoping it was more serious than it is,” says Wes Scantlin about injuring his right foot’s fifth metatarsal bone while in New York City on Monday. “I was told this type of fracture is seen a lot in athlete’s – I fractured mine simply hopping off a stool after our appearance on the radio show Rockline.” The injury forced Scantlin to reschedule a series of interviews slated for Tuesday – but the good news for fans is that it will not impact the rest of the band’s set up for their latest Flawless/Geffen release “Volume 4: Songs in The Key Of Love And Hate.”

“So much for a sexy explanation of what happened,” says Scantlin, adding “we will be turning that up a bit when we head back to Los Angeles for our Gibson-sponsored album release party featuring their new Dusk Tiger guitar.” The event is scheduled at the Gibson Showroom on Monday December 7, with the album hitting the music marketplace on December 8. Puddle Of Mudd fans can be a “fly on the wall” at the event by checking out the happenings on the band’s channel via Ustream – http://www.ustream.tv/channel/puddle-of-mudd.

The band will also continue with the following dates in December as well: Dec 4th in Estero, FL at the Germain Arena and December 6th in Orlando at the House Of Blues.

Look for Puddle Of Mudd to hit the road on a North American tour with Shinedown beginning January 21st in Providence, RI.

Puddle of Mudd to release “Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate”

Puddle of Mudd
Puddle of Mudd
Puddle Of Mudd, release their fourth studio set, “Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate”, on December 8. The album follows the phenomenal success of POM’s third release, 2007’s Famous. Famous proved the band’s consistency to deliver to not only their fans, but on all business platforms. One single off of Famous, “Psycho,” earned Billboard Magazine’s highest honors – #1 Mainstream Rock Song of the Year, #4 Hot Modern Rock Song of the Year, as well as Mainstream Rock #2 Artist of 2008. Radio and Records posted “Psycho” as the #1 Rock Song of 2008, #2 Active Rock Song of the Year, and POM earned their Number 3 status for Rock Artist of the Year.

Recording Volume 4 in Vancouver & Los Angeles, Puddle Of Mudd (POM) smartly re-enlisted the talents of Brian Howes, who produced the aforementioned Famous and John Kurzweg, who produced 2001’s album, Come Clean. “Even though we hate messing with success, we felt adding newcomer Brain Virtue to the producer mix would be a welcome change,” say frontman Wes Scantlin. “What we got is 10 tracks of exactly what we were looking for,” adds Scantlin.

In addition to singer/guitarist Wes Scantlin, bassist Douglas Ardito, drummer Ryan Yerdon and the return of guitarist Paul Phillips on guitars round out the POM line-up. The band’s 2001 debut album Come Clean generated four #1 alternative and rock radio hit singles (“Blurry,” “She Hates Me,” “Control” and “Drift And Die”), with “Blurry” becoming the most played track on Modern Rock Radio for 2002 and scooping the ASCAP award for most played song of the year. 2003 saw the release of their follow up Life On Display, which featured the top 5 radio hit “Away From Me” and the top 10 hit “Heel Over Head.”

The first single from Volume 4, “Spaceship,” will be available to fans October 27th on Amazon.com and iTunes. For the video, the band hired Petro Papahadjopoulos to create the visual component that will include guest appearances by Nitro Circus, action sport legends – Travis Pastrana, Jolene Van Vugt, Jim DeChamp, Andy Bell, Erik Roner, “Streetbike” Tommy Passemante, Jeremy Rawle, Gregg Godfrey, and Hubert Rowland.

“It’s easy and predictable to say I’m most proud of this record,” says band frontman Wes Scantlin, adding “but I think it’s more appropriate to say I’m most proud of what we’ve accomplished as a band to this point.” The music business has gotten nothing but more difficult over the years, since the band’s debut. But an unfazed Scantlin is quick to credit not only their ability to write ear-friendly songs, but to credit the fans that react to them. Says Wes, “we’ve not only navigated the minefield successfully, but we’ve laid our own on the battlefield that is this business. As self-sufficient as ever, we virtually depend on the fans to come through for us – and because of that, this band is built for the future.”
