A little more than a year ago the members of Allstar Weekend – Zach, Cameron, Nathan and Michael – were passing out flyers outside the premiere of Jonas Bothers: The 3-D Concert Experience, hoping to be discovered. Joe Brooks first found his love of music at the young age of 16. He was a typical teen living in Southampton, England, and enjoyed playing soccer and tennis. After his mother took him to see the Australian blues musician Derrin Hauendorf, Joe was inspired to learn guitar and create his own material. Influenced by artists like Damien Rice, Rob Thomas and Jack Johnson, Joe wrote songs and posted them on MySpace. Before he knew it, he was the UK’s highest ranked unsigned artist, receiving over 30,000 plays a day of songs he recorded in his bedroom. After getting offers from various labels, Brooks landed a management deal and signed to Lava/Republic in 2009.
Island Def Jam’s Burnham, whose instantly catchy pop rock single “Catch Me If You Can” impacts radio June 28th, has been confirmed as the opening act on the second leg of Justin Bieber’s “My World” North American tour! The newly added 35 dates run from September 14th to December 23rd, 2010.

Lady Gaga recruited fashion photographer Steven Klein, best known for his work with Madonna, to make his music video directorial debut on her latest effort. Gaga appeared on CNN’s Larry King Live last week to screen the first teaser of the “Alejandro” video, which she described to the veteran talk show host as having a “homoerotic, military theme.”
