After just wrapping a very busy few months out on the road which included a string of dates opening for Legendary Paul McCartney, fellow Dubliners, U2 and their first official headlining tour of the U.S., The Script are gearing up to head back out on the road this fall in support of American Idol alum, David Cook.
The tour will kick off early November with The Script opening for rocker David Cook through early December. A string of confirmed dates are listed below with remaining dates set to be announced shortly.
The Script are Dubliners Danny O’Donoghue (keys and vocals), Mark Sheehan (guitar) and Glen Power (drums). This extremely talented trio’s debut has already spawned numerous hit singles abroad, including the band’s first official U.S. single, “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved” which reached #1 in 5 countries and broke into the Top 20 at Adult Radio stateside with no signs of stopping. THE SCRIPT is currently 3x platinum in the UK, 8x platinum in Ireland, and is a story of both tragedy and triumph, struggle and survival – the epic journey of 3 Dublin boys from the wrong side of the tracks.
2008 proved to be an extremely successful year for The Script. With the release of their debut album in the UK landing them the #1 spot on the UK album chart, receiving The Best Irish Band Award at the World Music Awards, performing at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, as well as selling out their first UK headlining tour in under 24 hours – The Script has taken America by storm. Most recently the band appeared on MTV’s The Hills. Their current single, “Breakeven” is at radio now and soaring up the charts.
