With authentic tennis motions, users will feel like they are actually playing tennis. They can vie for tennis immortality in Grand Slam Career mode by winning all four majors, a feat Roger Federer accomplished yesterday after winning his first French Open. With the win, he tied Pete Sampras with 14 career Grand Slam titles. Both are among the licensed players in Grand Slam Tennis, which includes some of the greatest in tennis history. John McEnroe appears exclusively in the game and graces the North American cover, along with Federer and Serena Williams. Joining the trio is a mix of current stars and legends who collectively own 136* Grand Slam singles titles.

As one of the first titles compatible with the Wii MotionPlus™ accessory, the one-to-one motion in Grand Slam Tennis is taken to a higher and more authentic level. Gamers will be in full command of their players and in control every inch of the court with added shot depth and ball placement. In Europe, Grand Slam Tennis will be exclusively bundled with the Wii MotionPlus™ accessory.

With Tennis Party mode, a fun and social tennis gaming environment comes to life for multiple players. Using a variety of unique rule twists, a dozen party games can be played including “King of the Court”, “Tag Team” and “Drops and Lobs”. With online capability, connect with new opponents and add to your country’s point total on the Battle of the Nations leader board.

Not only does Grand Slam Tennis combine fun and social gaming, its great way to stay active and in shape. The fitness component allows players to track the calories burned after each match. Personal goals can be set and managed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, adding a new dimension to the total tennis experience.

In Flip’s Twisted World, Master Fulcrum’s curious apprentice Flip messes with the wrong magic artifact and gets sucked into a crazy cubed universe. To escape his cube prison, Flip must turn the entire world to reveal new paths and endless possibilities. Adventuring through five bizarre puzzle worlds, Flip must stop the destruction of the universe and restore The Master’s home to normal before he returns!

Players help Flip navigate his world by rotating the environment 90 degrees in any direction with a simple twist of the Wii Remote™. Pits become passages and obstacles transform into openings once players change their point of view. As Flip progresses through the game he’ll meet many unique characters – some helpful, others hurtful – and collect five magic tools to aid his journey home. Optional side quests let players unlock bonus goodies and alternate costumes, while finding pieces of the Master’s lost journal reveals secrets of the magic universe’s past.

Flip’s Twisted World features original music from prolific video game composer Tommy Tallarico, who has scored over 250 games and won numerous international awards for his work.

As previously announced, Wii Rock Band 2 owners will gain access this week to three tracks from Ministry, two classics from The Zombies and a single from The Cranberries. Additionally, 19 back-catalog tracks will be released for Wii in the Rock Band Music Store.

English rockers The Police have three tracks coming to the Wii Rock Band Music Store this week. “Can’t Stand Losing You” and “Roxanne” from the 1978 album, Outlandos d’Amour, and “Synchronicity II,” from The Police’s last studio album, Synchronicity, released in 1983.

Also this week, back-catalog tracks from Airbourne, Devil Driver, Dream Theater, Killswitch Engage, Machine Head, Hinder, Bad Religion, The Cult and GLaDOS will be released, as well as cover tracks as made famous by The Monkees, David Bowie and Sweet. Wii music fans can also download tracks from Harmonix’s own Bang Camaro, Count Zero and Freezepop.

The tracks from Ministry, The Zombies and The Cranberries will be released simultaneously with the weekly content update for other consoles. The remainder of the tracks comes from the back catalog of Rock Band music already released to owners of Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3 system. Wii fans can expect a rollout of previously released downloadable Rock Band content until the entire back catalog of more than 680 songs is available. With the addition of these tracks, there are now 169 tracks in the Wii Rock Band Music Store.

Highlighting this year’s releases are all-new versions of blockbuster franchises such as Metal Gear Solid®, Castlevania®, DanceDanceRevolution®, Lost In Blue® and Silent Hill®. Critter Round-Up™
