Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection includes all 12 tracks from the original version of Katy’s second album, including the singles “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.,” “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” and “The One That Got Away,” which all peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart.
It also features three brand new songs as well as versions of “E.T” featuring Kanye West, “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” featuring Missy Elliott, and a moving acoustic version of “The One That Got Away” produced by Jon Brion. None of these alternative versions have ever been available on a physical CD until now. Also included on The Complete Confection is a 7 minute Tommie Sunshine megamix featuring all six No.1 hits.

“This is the complete story of Teenage Dream. It was an incredible honor to tie the King of Pop’s Billboard Hot 100 record, but I’m moving forward and had a few things left to get off my chest. So this is the complete special edition of my album for my fans,” states Katy.

Teenage Dream has generated more than 25.5 million in digital song sales and earned Katy six Grammy Award nominations, including “Album of the Year” and “Record of the Year.” In December, Katy wrapped her hugely successful sold-out arena tour, the 124-date California Dreams World Tour. She was also selected MTV’s “Artist of the Year” in 2011.

The company plans to develop multiple “Sims” games featuring special Katy Perry-themed virtual goods and in-game content. The partnership launches in March, with a Collector’s Edition of” The Sims 3: Showtime” game. Perry will also be featured in accompanying advertising and marketing campaigns for “The Sims.”

“It’s cool to see the Sims’ stage performances in ‘The Sims 3: Showtime’ decked out just like my California Dreams Tour — even my cotton candy video screens are in there!” Perry said in a statement. “I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I’m a Sim!”

Perry worked with the Sims Studio to create accessories, clothing, hairstyles, furniture and props for the Sims game. The Katy Perry Collector’s Edition includes an expansion pack and poster, as well as stage props, fashions and instruments inspired by the brightly-hued singer.

The couple announced the end of their 14-month marriage on December 30, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

According to TMZ.com, Perry’s evangelical Christian parents raiser her to believe divorce is wrong, leaving Brand to formally arrange the split. Neither party was in Los Angeles when the papers were filed, with Perry heading to Hawaii and Brand returning to England.

Earlier this week it emerged that the couple had spent Christmas apart from each other and both then were pictured separately without their wedding rings.

Brand issued a statement yesterday, which reads as follows: “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”

According to TMZ, Brand filed for divorce today (December 30), citing “irreconcilable differences”.

According to Us Weekly, the divorce came after a fight over holiday plans. An insider tells the magazine that Perry made last-minute plans to go to Hawaii with friends over Christmas, after arranging to fly her family to Brand’s hometown in England.

“She was like, ‘Fuck you. I’m going to do my own thing,’” said the source. “Russell replied, ‘Fine. Fuck you, too.’” Brand has been spotted on the town on London in recent days without his wedding ring.

Katy has been nominated for the following awards: Video of the Year and Best Female Video for “Firework,” Best Pop Video for “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.),” Best Cinematography for “Teenage Dream,” and Best Collaboration, Best Art Direction, Best Direction, Best Editing, and Best Special Effects for “E.T.” (featuring Kanye West). The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre Sunday, August 28th.

The premiere of Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” video is here! Watch the pop princess rock her daisy dukes and bikini top as she explores her very own Candyland, hangs with Snoop Dogg and battles evil gummy bears. The track will appear on her new album Teenage Dream due out August 24th.

The Santa Barbara-born Perry was inspired to write “California Gurls” as she watched her friends go crazy at a party listening to Jay-Z’s salute to New York, “Empire State of Mind.” “Everybody was holding their drinks in the air and dancing, and I thought, ‘We’re not in New York, we’re in Los Angeles! What about California? What about all the homies, the gin and juice, the swaying palm trees, the sun-kissed skin 24-7,’” Perry recalls. “I decided that we needed to make a response.
