Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night released on iPhone

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night. Tailored specifically for the iPhone™ and iPod® touch, the latest iteration of the classic platformer game will now allow fans of the franchise to revisit the Transylvanian castle with new addicting puzzle-RPG action on-the-go.

A first in the Castlevania series, Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night will employ a unique style of puzzle-RPG, allowing players to take on the role of Alucard, the son of Dracula. Players will also have the option to play as or against characters directly from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Developed exclusively for the iPhone and iPod touch, Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night drops players inside the walls of Dracula’s castle challenging them to solve puzzles in order to provide weapons and spells to aid players in their quest.

Six-String released for iPhone

Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s leading music company, today announced the launch of Six-String on the App Store. Six-String is a new iPhone and iPod touch music app that delivers a dynamic guitar experience and includes chart-topping hits culled from real studio masters.

The app allows users to play each track at three different levels of difficulty. The sound can be adjusted to hear only the guitar or the guitar against the full master recording. Additionally, the game offers a free, thriving Six-String™ social community (via ‘Plus+ Network’) which adds more excitement and competition to the game, allowing users to challenge each other’s prowess on any song. iTunes releases new Kelly Clarkson Open Mic App for iPhone

Kelly Clarkson and RCA Records, in association with Rain, today announced the Kelly Clarkson Open Mic App is available on the App Store. The Kelly Clarkson Open Mic App is a unique singing game that allows players to choose a level of difficulty and then perform a Clarkson song into the iPhone mic or a microphone connected to an iPod touch. Performances are awarded a score that is decided by pitch and rhythm with players able to post their scores to Facebook, Twitter or to the Scoreboard within the App.

“Kelly Clarkson is a world-wide superstar who has always had a tremendous relationship with her fans,” said Tom Corson, EVP/GMA RCA Music Group. “Rain and Kelly devised the perfect app to allow Kelly fans to experience her songs all over again.”

The game features five tracks off Miss Clarkson’s current album All I Ever Wanted including her current single Already Gone as well as, I Do Not Hook Up and the smash hit My Life Would Suck Without You. The app also contains exclusive video of Kelly Clarkson giving instructions on how to play along with a few expert singing tips.
