Sevendust-Lajon Witherspoon (vocals), Morgan Rose (drums/vocals), Clint Lowery (guitar/vocals), Vince Hornsby (bass/vocals), John Connolly (guitar/vocals)— are currently putting the finishing touches on a headlining tour with Drowning Pool and will take a much-deserved break before heading out to do it all over again in April and beyond. The band will be world permiering the DVD portion of the album and doing a special acoustic gig at the Hard Rock Cafe in their hometown of Atlanta, GA the night before release, April 19th. The band’s eighth studio album, COLD DAY MEMORY, comes out April 20 on their own 7Bros. Records, through Warner Music Group’s Independent Label Group. The album—produced by Grammy® nominated Johnny K (Disturbed, Staind, 3 Doors Down, Plain White T’s)—is the band’s first new album with their original line-up back together with Lowery’s return after his departure in 2003. Sevendust’s new single, “Unraveling”, is #17 and rising on the BDS Active Rock chart – It’s the most well received single in the bands history and has a chance to be a crossover smash. “This record personally has been one of the most difficult, but most rewarding records I’ve ever worked on” explains Lowery. “I put a lot of pressure on myself to contribute good material to the guys after being gone for last three records and that helped me focus more than I ever had.” Adds Lajon Witherspoon: “I feel this album shows new growth for the band. Sevendust’s new single “Unraveling” is getting a great reaction at Rock Radio. With back to back double digit add weeks at Active Rock before it’s actual add date (next week), this is the most well received Sevendust track in the last decade. The video for “Prodigal Son,” the first single off Sevendust’s new album Chapter VII: Hope & Sorrow will be premiered today through Sunday the 22nd on Music Choice. Music Choice, the most popular On Demand music network in the country, will make the video accessible by millions of digital cable users across the country – including Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, Cablevision, and Verizon FiOS subscribers. Sevendust’s “Prodigal Son” will also be available to high speed Internet / broadband customers with access to Music Choice’s free broadband music site.

Jump started by the return of original guitar player Clint Lowery to the band, Sevendust have been on the road non-stop since the release of Chapter VII: Hope & Sorrow in April. The band’s current live attack is as ferocious as ever and they’ll continue to be road warriors this summer with performances at Milwaukee’s Summerfest and select dates with Godsmack, Alter Bridge, Tantric, Nonpoint and one stop on OZZFEST in Texas.
