30 Rock has released a new episode from their Jack Donaghy Files web series called “For a Song,” which features Jack (Alec Baldwin) attempting to find a new Super Bowl halftime show performer after Madonna injures herself. He calls in Glover, Adams and McDonald and gives them the opportunity to audition for the gig, but there’s a catch: they can choose from three songs, all of which are NBC series theme songs.

Turner was born in Boston and decided to live in Sweden after attending Uppsala University in an exchange program. He got his start in music as the front man for the band Street Fighting Man, and was introduced to iSHi at the suggestion of a mutual friend. The duo blend iSHi’s hip hop production style with Turner’s songwriting roots to create a big stadium sound. “It’s organic and natural,” says Turner. “We write songs like they did back in the ’60s.”"

Nothing is confirmed and the number feels too high to be believed, but MediaTakeout claims their source is well-placed within Cowell’s camp. Recently the top names mentioned as potential judges has been Beyonce, Perez Hilton and Mariah Carey.

Since the firing there has been chattering about why some of the judges have been fired. For one, Paula Abdul is said to have been fired because she was too easy on contestants. That might fly in the face of the rumors of new judges considering Hilton has made his new career out of being nice and neither Beyonce nor Mariah Carey are known as particularly tough individuals or mean.

Regardless, it’s abundantly clear that the show is going through a major, make-or-break reset. The pressure’s on for Cowell, who walked away from “American Idol” and bet his American TV career on “The X Factor,” poaching Abdul and effectively crippling the nation’s most popular television show.

Last week, the single “Good Girl” was revealed. The song, which was co-written by Underwood, will hit radio on February 23.

The forthcoming album was featured in Entertainment Weekly’s recent “10 albums we can’t wait for.” This will be the fourth studio album on 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville for the five-time Grammy winner.  The debut single co-written by Underwood, “Good Girl,” will be released to country radio on February 23.

Underwood’s February schedule is already gearing up with numerous appearances, performances, and events.  Among those are “CMT Crossroads” with Aerosmith rock legend Steven Tyler (with initial airings on CMT Sat. Feb.4, 11pm ET and Sun. Feb 5th, 2am ET and 10am ET), an appearance at the 54th Grammy Awards, Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, a performance at the Nordstrom Nashville Symphony Fashion Show, and the digital release of her new single, “Good Girl.”

Since Carried Underwood released the 2005 debut disc ‘Some Hearts,’ she has become one of the most successful artists in the history of country music. She has sold over 14 million records, and topped the country singles charts with 14 songs. Underwood has won five Grammy Awards, and is a nominee once again this year. She has also won Female Vocalist of the Year by the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music, and has twice been named Entertainer of the Year by the ACM.

Lana Del Rey is a bit of a mystery to everyone. Is she unique or is she a part of good marketing set to capitalize on the likes of Ke$ha and Katy Perry. The difference is that Lana Del Rey comes off as uninterested, ambivalent and perhaps a bit soulless. But a purposeful soullessness. If there is such a thing.

“National Anthem” is interesting mixture of pop of the past stylized for today. Del Rey spends a lot of her time caught up in singing about loving all the wrong types of men. She tries way to hard to prove she’s hip, and some what hop. Del Rey is full of cliches and that what often makes the music lose its steam.

“Off To The Races” finds Del Rey going old school and keeping it potent. While “Dark Paradise” continues a race to the bottom. “This Is What Makes Us Girls” is the opposite of any song a parent would want their daughter to listen to–it’s all about drinking, skipping school and so on.

Lana Del Rey leaves the impression that she is trying too hard to be interesting. Everything is a chance for her to prove she is bad. But the ones who are really bad-ass don’t spend al of their time talking about it and trying to prove it. Then again, Del Rey is an interesting story teller. Something tells me Del Rey might be more interesting as a movie character than a album full of anthem attempts.

Gallagher, who has been working on the follow-up to his ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ album with the Manchester production duo, will put out the track, titled ‘Shoot A Hole In The Sun’, as the B-side to his latest single ‘Dream On’.

The song is due for release on March 12

Speaking about the collaboration last year, Gallagher told fans to expect some “fucking far out” material on the album. He commented:It’s got like 18 tracks on it, some of it’s krautrock, some of it’s soul, some of it’s funk and that’s just the first song.

Winehouse’s relatives said they were still absorbing the implications of the news and were seeking legal advice.
