On Monday, Nov 23, Adam will unleash one of the most highly anticipated debut albums, “For Your Entertainment,” on 19 Recordings/RCA. The record garnered contributions from such innovative artists as Lady Gaga, P!nk, Muse, Justin Hawkins formerly of The Darkness and Rivers Cuomo of Weezer.

Millions of fans watched Lambert’s stunning performances on the eighth season of “American Idol” and now those millions of fans are waiting for the release of the album and Adam’s first single, which Adam introduced on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Oct. 30. “For Your Entertainment” was written by Claude Kelly (“Circus” by Britney Spears) and Dr. Luke (“I Kissed A Girl” by Katy Perry and “Girlfriend” by Avril Lavigne, “Right Round” by Flo Rida, along with multiple singles by Kelly Clarkson) and produced by Dr. Luke.

“I feel so lucky to have been granted true opportunity to work with some of the top producers and writers in popular music,” Says Adam. “This album is a reflection of their genius and the collaborative energy that they were gracious enough to share with me.”

The credits on Lambert’s first album read like a list of the hottest artists in the music business. Lady Gaga, long cited as a major influence on Adam, c-wrote the track “Fever” with producer Jeff Bhasker. P!nk is a co-writer on “Whataya Want From Me,” along with Sweden’s Max Martin and Johan Shellback. Matthew Bellamy, of the British prog rock/eletronica band Muse, one of Adam’s favorite groups, wrote “Soaked.”

Justin Hawkins, who was lead singer of the acclaimed British quartet the Darkness, wrote the lead track on the album, “Music Again.” Rivers Cuomo, co-founder, lead singer and principal songwriter for Weezer, is one of the writers on “Pick U Up,” along with Lambert and Greg Wells (“I Do Not Hook Up,” Kelly Clarkson).

There are other stellar names featured in the credits on Adam’s debut release. Rock goddess Linda Perry, responsible for hits like “Beautiful” by Christina Aguilera and “Get The Party Started” by P!nk, is the writer and producer of “A Loaded Smile.” Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, whose credits include “Bleeding Love” for Leona Lewis and “Halo” for Beyoncé, wrote and produced “Sleepwalker.”

Adam co-wrote four of the songs on his album. In addition to “Pick U Up,” Adam penned “Strut” with Greg Wells and “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi; “Aftermath” with Alisan Porter, Ferras and Ely Rise; and “Broken Open” with Wells and Evan Bogart (whose credits include “S.O.S.” by Rihanna and “Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)” from “Slumdog Millionaire.”

Four of the tracks on “For Your Entertainment” are produced by Rob Cavallo, the A-list producer who has worked with Green Day, My Chemical Romance, David Cook, Alanis Morisette, Chris Isaak, Paramore, Jewel, Shinedown and Dave Matthews Band. Cavallo produced “Music Again,” “Soaked,” “Sure Fire Winners” and the bonus track, “Time For Miracles,” from the soundtrack to the new motion picture, “2012.”

One day before “For Your Entertainment” goes on sale, Adam will sing the title track on television for the first time, appearing on “The American Music Awards” on ABC-TV on Sunday, Nov. 22. He will give a special live concert performance on ABC-TV’s “Good Morning America” on Wednesday, Nov. 25, “Late Show With David Letterman” that same night on CBS and will pre-tape on Nov. 23. First single “Halfway Gone,” co-written by Lifehouse lead singer Jason Wade, Kevin Rudolf (”Let It Rock”) and producer Jude Cole (Rocco Deluca, Beth Orton, MoZella), has already been serviced to radio and is available on all digital outlets now.

With Smoke & Mirrors; lead singer/guitarist Wade, drummer Ricky Woolstenhulme Jr., bassist Bryce Soderberg, producer Cole, and live guitarist Ben Carey have created a set that combines their live sound with great record making.

Smoke & Mirrors showcases two sides of Lifehouse — songs like “Smoke & Mirrors,” “Wrecking Ball” and “Had Enough” (with guest vocals by Chris Daughtry) have a raw and stage driven feel to them capturing the live, rock side of the band; a sound they had perfected after 10 years of solid touring. While tracks like “All In,” “Here Tomorrow Gone Today” and the first single “Halfway Gone” are songs sure to be heard on radio for years to come.

Lifehouse’s multi-platinum 2000 debut, No Name Face, produced “Hanging by a Moment,” a #1 alternative hit which crossed over to become Top 40’s Most Played Song of 2001, while 2002’s Stanley Climbfall solidified the band as a touring force. Their 2005 self-titled platinum effort yielded “You and Me,” a giant hit ballad (Wade, Cole) that set a record by spending more than 60 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. 2007’s Who We Are, also produced by the Smoke & Mirrors team, included the hits “First Time,” “Whatever It Takes” and “Broken,” which combined sold over 3 million digital downloads. To date Lifehouse has sold over 5 million albums.

For the third year in a row Wynonna will bring holiday cheer to fifteen cities across the country. Her A Classic Christmas tour, named after her 2006 Top 10 Billboard Country album, will place Wynonna and her team of ‘musical elves’ on a coast-to-coast tour of the U.S.

Wynonna’s Christmas tour kicks off November 28, 2009 in Hershey, PA where she will bring soulful performances of both beloved seasonal classics and her biggest hits to cities and fans that did not have the opportunity to experience it in years past.

“I take great comfort in tradition, and I have always loved the season of Christmas,” Wynonna said of her Christmas album. “What the spirit of Christmas means to me is faith, family and fellowship. I’m excited to share those gifts with my fans on the road this year.”

Holiday music lovers can expect to hear such favorites as her top 5 hit “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town” (#3 on Billboard), top 10 hit single “Winter Wonderland” (#8 on Billboard) and “White Christmas,” as well as “It’s The Messiah” – a beautiful, original piece written by her band leader and album producer Don Potter – that captures the true meaning of Christmas. In addition, the Palmetto State Quartet will be joining Wynonna – capably handling her background vocals for the tour. One of the most recognizable names in Gospel music, the quartet is led by Wynonna’s pop, Larry Strickland, former member of The Stamps, Elvis Presley’s background quartet. Wynonna and PSQ have blended their voices on many occasions including her recent appearance on the Gospel Music Channel’s ‘Front Row Live’ series and her current critically acclaimed studio album, Sing: Chapter 1.

On her December 4 stop at the Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas, a special group of local high school and college students will get the chance to visit Wynonna in conjunction with the GRAMMY SoundCheck series. The students will have the opportunity to tour the venue and sit in on Wynonna’s sound check, spending some one-on-one time with her during a private Q&A session. Artists such as Dave Matthews, Coldplay, U2, John Mayer, Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah, Mariah Carey, Billy Joel and many others have participated in these events in years past.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and that means music legend Kenny Rogers will once again be embarking on his highly acclaimed annual holiday tour, bringing his exceptional talent and signature sound to stages across America. The 2009 edition of the Kenny Rogers Christmas & Hits Tour featuring Rebecca Lynn Howard will launch on November 27th in Bossier City, LA at the Horseshoe Casino Riverdome. The 20-city tour will wrap two days before Christmas on December 23rd in Westbury, NY at The Capital One Bank Theatre at Westbury.

Rogers’ annual Christmas Tour has become tradition over the course of the artist’s storied career. Always a highly anticipated treat for the whole family, the production will feature performances of heart warming traditional and original holiday songs from Rogers — many that can be found on his numerous holiday recordings — such as “Let It Snow” “White Christmas” and “O Holy Night” as only the Grammy Award-winning artist can deliver, with the help of local choirs and children chosen to be part of the production in each city. Rogers will also perform classics such as “The Gambler,” “Lady,” “Islands In The Stream,” “Lucille,” and “Ruby, Don’t Take Your Love To Town.”

“I’ve always loved this season,” remarked Rogers. “I think because people in general, are truly different. Look around…they smile more, they’re more gracious, and generally seem happier. It’s funny how things in your life change as you get older – especially when you have children. All the things that seemed so important before, somehow no longer matter, and those that once felt so trivial, now are the only things that count. My house, for instance, has been decorated for the holidays since before Halloween, so to say my family is ‘In The Spirit Of The Season’ is a bit of an understatement! I promise you the holidays will never be the same for me. And so I say to you, have yourself a Merry, Merry Christmas and know that I wish for you, what I wish for myself – that you spend this and every holiday season with those you love the most.”

Fans will also be able to share their photos and stories from their favorite Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers shows. Then on the album’s November 24 release, ticketholders will receive the remaining 24 tracks on The Live Anthology, thereby completing the digital album.

Tickets for the entire 8-week Superhighway Tour are on sale now through Ticketmaster.com and TomPettySuperHighwayTour.com. The price of a Superhighway Tour ticket includes all 48 The Live Anthology digital tracks plus the 8-week online experience for $24.98 without any additional service fees.
A FREE PREVIEW of the SuperHighway Tour is now available at http://www.tompettysuperhighwaytour.com and includes a FREE DOWNLOAD of a track from the 1981 run of shows at Los Angeles’ Forum.

The week of November 22nd Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers and Reprise Records will release The Live Anthology, a multiple-disc set of recordings drawn from thirty years of live performances. The collection brings together material from 1978-2007 culled from hundreds of hours of live concert recordings covering every era of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ tours and represents the best tracks as chosen by producers Tom Petty, Mike Campbell and Ryan Ulyate.

The release of The Live Anthology comes on the heels of two sold out tours, the Grammy winning documentary Runnin’ Down A Dream (directed by Peter Bogdanovich), and a headline performance at the Super Bowl XLII halftime show. Now, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers – one of rock and roll’s greatest touring bands – will mark their unparalleled string of success with the release of this landmark collection of live recordings that is unlike anything previously available – the band’s story told through the music alone.

The producers made no fixes or overdubs, letting the newly mixed original recordings showcase the invention, spontaneity, craft, and the musicianship that has made Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers among the most celebrated live performers of their time. Along with powerful interpretations of their own classic hits and originals, The Live Anthology features the band tackling some of their best-loved cover material, from classics to obscure beauties to unexpected adaptations. The theme from Goldfinger, the Zombies’ “I Want You Back Again,” the Grateful Dead’s “Friend of the Devil,” early Fleetwood Mac’s “Oh Well,” Booker T. and the MGs’ “Green Onions,” James Brown’s “Good, Good Lovin’” and many more. Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers travel wide, paying their musical debts through song and showing just how confidently the band moves across genres and over time.

Even more exciting because this time round you could hear us!”

Paul McCartney’s historic three-night musical christening of New York’s Citi Field, witnessed by 120,000-plus attendees and universally hailed as a concert experience for the ages, will be immortalized November 17 when Hear Music/Concord Music Group releases Good Evening New York City. This momentous musical experience will be available in two formats: a 3-disc (2 CD + 1 DVD) standard edition and a 4-disc (2 CD + 2 DVD) deluxe version featuring expanded packaging and a bonus DVD including McCartney’s traffic-stopping, headline-making July 15 performance on the Ed Sullivan Theater marquee (including bonus numbers not aired on the Late Show with David Letterman broadcast). The set will also be made available in high quality vinyl. In any configuration, the 30+ songs and nearly 3 hours of music comprising Good Evening New York City are a must-have for attendees wishing to relive the July 17, 18 & 21 shows, those who couldn’t get tickets and/or anyone interested in an audiovisual document of a living legend. Good Evening New York City marks McCartney’s 2nd release for Hear Music. The first was 2007’s highly acclaimed Memory Almost Full. The standard version of Good Evening New York City will be available at participating Starbucks company-operated locations in the U.S. and Canada and wherever music is sold.

As the inaugural musical event at Citi Field, the site of the former Shea Stadium, the July 2009 shows held special significance not only for McCartney but for generations of his fans. The shows were performed on the same hallowed ground that The Beatles, in 1965, played the 34-minute show that would set the precedent for the modern day stadium rock show–and where in 2008 McCartney joined Billy Joel for the final rock show before the original stadium’s demolition. As documented on Good Evening New York City, “I’m Down” from the 1965 set list was revived for the Citi Field shows, albeit this time played through a PA that was not overpowered by screaming fans (though there were still several thousand who tried). Other highlights of Good Evening New York City include faithful takes on Beatles classics “Drive My Car,” “Got To Get You Into My Life,” “The Long And Winding Road,” “Blackbird,” “Eleanor Rigby,” “Back In The USSR,” “Paperback Writer,” “Let It Be,” “Hey Jude,” “Helter Skelter” and more, plus “Something” rendered on ukulele gifted to Paul by George Harrison, and a tribute to John Lennon in the form of a medley of “A Day In The Life” and “Give Peace A Chance.” Wings era chestnuts include “Band On The Run,” “My Love,” “Let Me Roll It” and the pyrotechnic tour de force of “Live And Let Die,” while timeless McCartney solo material ranges from “Here Today” to the upbeat “Flaming Pie” and “Dance Tonight” to a pair of numbers from Electric Arguments, the 2008 album released under the alias of The Fireman.

The concert footage featured on Good Evening New York City standard edition features concert footage directed by Paul Becher, who has overseen live visuals for McCartney for some 200 performances and counting. The 33-song 2 hour 40 minute performances were shot in High Definition using 15 cameras and digital footage incorporated from 75 Flipcams handed out to fans over the course of the three night stand. The audio mix, in both stereo and 5.1, was handled by longtime McCartney engineer Paul Hicks, whose credits include the recent Beatles remasters, The Beatles Anthology, Let It Be… Naked and two Grammy awards for his mixing work on the Beatles’ Love album.

The deluxe edition bonus DVD will feature footage of McCartney’s July 15 performance on the outdoor marquee of the Ed Sullivan Theater, previously available only as a webcast on the Late Show with David Letterman website. The marquee set, which marked McCartney’s return to the site of The Beatles U.S. television debut, generated front page headlines and literally stopped traffic as word of mouth generated a crowd that packed Broadway from Columbus Circle to Times Square.

Paul McCartney’s July 17-21 Citi Field stand has already been unanimously hailed by critics and audiences alike as the concert experience of a lifetime. On November 17, Good Evening New York City will document it for the ages.

Rhino and Bright Midnight Archives unleash four inspired performances from The Doors’ final tour with LIVE IN NEW YORK. The latest addition to the band’s acclaimed series of archival concert releases, this six-disc collection contains all four of The Doors’ performances – in their entirety – recorded in 1970 at the Felt Forum in New York City. The collection will be available November 10 at all retail outlets, including www.thedoors.com and www.rhino.com, for suggested list price of $89.98 for the physical boxed set. A digital version featuring select highlights from all four Felt Forum shows will also be available at all digital retail outlets for $9.99. An exclusive stream of “Break On Through (To The Other Side)” from the second show on January 17, 1970 will premiere at spinner.com beginning this Thursday, August 27.

Recorded January 17 and 18, 1970 – just a few weeks before the release of Morrison Hotel – these concerts find Jim Morrison, John Densmore, Robby Krieger, and Ray Manzarek locked in tight as they deliver smoking takes on soon-to-be-classics from their forthcoming album, including “Roadhouse Blues,” “Peace Frog,” “Ship Of Fools,” and “Maggie M’Gill.” The shows also feature a number of driving blues covers, such as Bo Diddley’s “Who Do You Love,” Howlin’ Wolf’s “Little Red Rooster,” and John Lee Hooker’s “Crawling King Snake.” “Those were the bluesy songs we always used to do,” Krieger says. “We probably hadn’t done them in years, but we resurrected them for these shows.”

The year prior to these shows, The Doors became one of the first rock bands to play New York City’s Madison Square Garden. When they returned in 1970, Densmore says they chose to play the Felt Forum, a smaller venue at the Garden. “It was more intimate, and you could feel the audience more,” he says. “There was more interaction, and the acoustics were much better, because it was designed for music.”

Manzarek hails these shows as a return to the group’s early days, when they used to play a small Los Angeles club called the London Fog. “I mean, talk about going back to basics. We used to do four sets a night at the London Fog, and we only had a small block of songs written up to that time. So we would do other people’s material. And in New York, it was like the same thing. We’ve got four shows to play here, two sets tonight, two sets tomorrow night. Let’s play whatever we want! Let’s just go!”

And go they did. Along with a mix of then-unheard new songs and old covers, the band also tapped into its 1967, self-titled debut, peppering the set lists with signature songs such as “Break On Through (To The Other Side),” “Soul Kitchen,” “The End,” and “Light My Fire,” The Doors’ first #1 hit.

For the final show of the Felt Forum stand, the band was joined onstage by two guests – The Lovin’ Spoonful’s John Sebastian (who played harmonica on the studio version of “Roadhouse Blues”) and drummer Dallas Taylor, who’d played on Crosby, Stills & Nash’s debut. Sebastian sat in for “Rock Me” and was joined by Taylor for “Going To N.Y. Blues” and “Maggie M’Gill.”

Fans will be blown away by the crisp sound found on LIVE IN NEW YORK. All four shows were mixed and mastered by the band’s longtime engineer, Bruce Botnick, who recorded a number of shows from The Doors’ 1970 tour on multi-track tape for the Absolutely Live album. While most of the music contained on LIVE IN NEW YORK is unreleased, a few songs (and portions of songs) surfaced in 1970 on Absolutely Live and in 1997 on The Doors Box Set.

Sadly, these shows represent The Doors’ final New York City performances with Morrison, who passed away July 3, 1971.

Prior to the release of LIVE IN NEW YORK, Rhino will release 180-gram vinyl versions of all six Doors studio albums on September 15. Previously available only in 2007’s The Doors Vinyl Box, original stereo mixes of The Doors, Strange Days, Waiting For The Sun, The Soft Parade, Morrison Hotel, and L.A. Woman will now be available individually at all vinyl retail outlets for a suggested list price of $24.98 each.
