The former Death Row Records executive, 46, was stopped driving a black Bentley with California license plates about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on a street just off Flamingo Road west of the Las Vegas Strip, Officer Laura Meltzer said.

Knight was issued an unsafe lane change summons and arrested on a warrant stemming from previous traffic infractions. He also was charged with possession of less than one ounce of a controlled substance and released from jail without bail.

Celebrity website TMZ first reported the arrest. It said Knight had marijuana with him in the car.

The track will be released on White’s Third Man Records label as part of their ‘Blue Series’, along with a new version of Jones’ 2002 track ‘Jezebel’. It is due out on March 19.

The ‘Blues Series’ has previously featured artists such as Stephen Colbert and Insane Clown Posse, who put out their track ‘Leck Mich Im Arsch’ as an exclusive seven-inch and download last September.

How did the two come together? “I met her at Thanksgiving and it was really great. We were out at her ranch in Hurricane Mills and we sat there, me and her, and after everyone, the whole family and my crew sort of dissipated we sat there and started writing some songs together,” he says. ‘A Different Kind of Truth’ is surprisingly cohesive. And Eddie sounds as good as ever. His solos burn track to track reminding you why these guys are legends. This is classic Van Halen. Nothing new, nothing experimental. It’s what you’d imagine the follow-up of ‘1984’ would have sounded like. That might have something to do with the fact that some of the songs were unreleased, unfinished tracks from the bands early days together.

“Tattoo” starts off with lyrics that are essentially meaningless, ala “Jump”, and yet it is surprisingly catchy. “You and Your Blues’’ doesn’t get rolling until Eddie rips into a solo which seems to energize Roth who brings the song to a fantastic close. “China Town” is perhaps the albums best track and Eddie once again proves he is the guitar master.

‘A Different Kind of Truth’ isn’t all great and some of the songs could have been left behind, particularly those where Roth mixing up his current gig as a lead singer and his previous gig as a radio talk show host. More singing, less b.s.ing. All-in-all, ‘A Different Kind of Truth’ is a very surprising release and one of the best comeback albums you will ever hear. It’s rare that a group gets back together after nearly 30 years and sounds as lean and mean as they did the last time they were together.

The video — which West directed — starts with footage of the duo’s Los Angeles performance, a decision that was perhaps made to honor the number of times they rapped the song live (10 consecutive times at the show in question). From there, the video becomes a mix of special effects and concert footage.

Both rappers won nominations for this Sunday’s Grammy Awards. West is nominated for a leading seven awards, including his single “All Of The Lights” and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Simon Cowell seems to be interested in Katy Perry as the new X Factor judge.

Cowell is looking for stars to replace Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger and Katy has already appeared as a guest judge on the UK X Factor.

Simon told his ex-girlfriend Terri Seymour in an interview for US show Extra: “I worked with Katy once. I think she would be fun because she is hard – in a good way – and she’s feisty.”

He also revealed he would love Madonna on the show, despite her being “expensive”. Simon said: “She would be great, in terms of experience, success, brilliant.”

And Simon ruled out Sir Elton John, saying: “Absolutely not. He wouldn’t do it and he’d be really difficult to work with.”
