Hope Sandoval to tour America

For Hope Sandoval fans, the wait is finally over. With her first full-length album in over eight years, Sandoval is ready to take her storied live show to intimate concert venues across North America. Hope takes center stage alongside My Bloody Valentine’s Colm Ó Cíosóig and Irish band Dirt Blue Gene.

Through The Devil Softly, her second album with Warm Inventions partner Colm Ó Cíosóig, is a rich brocade of pastoral meditations that resonate with the kind of restrained yet provocative intimacy that only these two artists can provide. The dichotomy between darkness and light, the space between inspiration and the manifestation of thought, is where Hope Sandoval’s music and lyrics catch fire.

Opening track “Blanchard” was met with rapt attention from journalists in the US and UK alike. Pitchfork predicts, “Judging by the track ‘Blanchard,’ we’re in for another album of sexy, gauzy, reverbed-out slowcore, with Sandoval’s voice floating above the layers of softly strummed guitar like a desert apparition.” NME remarks that the track “has immersed us once more in Hope’s world of bleak folk, gothic country and lush psychedelia.” Today we debut the new single “Trouble.”
