Black butterfly definitely leaves something to be desired. seems like this band is writing for cash…the music just isn’t what is has been. sorry guys but this is disappointing—flat and boring.

if you are an ardent buckcherry fan (as i have been), black butterfly will leave you flat. it is missing the monster, pound your fist, in your face rock that dominated the previous 3 cds. i fear the band got a taste of top 10 profit and wrote songs that would cater to the big guns who write the checks. too drunk, perhaps, caters to the average 14 year old, but that’s a different story.

Generic is a good word for this CD. I was not blown away by any one song. As a whole, I found the listening experience just OK. Had I heard it before I bought it, I would have saved the cash. I did like the groove in Rescue Me and Cream (though that song makes no sense). I’ll stick with listening to 15 for another couple years until they come out with a better follow up.
