PLAY: TrackMania Sunrise is devised by our creating tracks and customizing cars. There is a limited amount of vehicles to choose from—three to be exact—but you can modify enough to keep it interesting.

You can modify the tracks—but you can’t always be certain when you are making a track that is feasible to race on. To move on you must win and most of the races are timed so if you can’t get the best time you aren’t going any further in the game. If you touch the brake here you won’t win. This is all or nothing racing.

GRAPHICS: Why there is a lack of damage to the cars is a big mistake. Every game today models the damage when you smash into a wall, etc. For a PC game the graphics aren’t going to wow you. The tracks aren’t designed with much detail.

SOUND: The music isn’t great. The sound effects are—well—effective. There isn’t much more to say. Much like the rest of the game there was a good amount of room for improvement.

FRANKLY: TrackMania Sunrise is designed for fun with stunts and timed races that all require the driver to win in order to move on. If you can’t the game gets monotonous fast and it doesn’t take long before frustration can set in.
