Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you?

Look:
The game looks somewhat like the cartoon, but it’s a bit ragged around the edges and the players don’t look like the cartoon characters. I think I was expecting more from this game. The big problem is how you see the game. The camera angle is from the top looking down. It’s just plain bad.

Feel:
You don’t get to run around the free world with Scooby. Instead you run amuck with the beanpole Shaggy.

The game ends up being like a search party for clues hidden all over the place. If you don’t find the clues, you don’t get to pass go. Scooby follows you around and helps you against the baddies. The process of winning is much like the old Nintendo games where everything is pre-planned and you are just following a blueprint. It gets pretty boring.

Hear:
Aside from Scooby’s random laughs, there isn’t much to speak of.

Finally:
I’m nerved most by the courage meter. You don’t really die; you just get so scared that you lose. You get scared by anything creepy and you lose your courage. The worst thing is that when you start to lose courage, you start to tremble and you can’t even move. Take that and the lack of adventure and you’re bound to get bored.
