SSX Tricky is another phenomenal release by EA Sports.
Look: The game looks miles ahead of its predecessor. The details are top-notch, from the scenery to your actual snowboarding cohort. Animation has come a ways for this version and it doesn’t go unappreciated.
Feel: SSX has dual motives: racing and stunts. The controls are like butter. Still, playing it today, I’m surprised how much I like playing this release. Though not like Tony Hawk, it offers the same kind of fulfillment.
Hear: SSX comes well intact with tight beats and cool voices.
Finally: SSX Tricky is almost great and way above good. At this point, there isn’t a better snowboard game out there. It almost seems redundant to continually say this game or that is the best there is, but the truth is that with the continual onslaught of new systems and better games, it seems to always be true.
