Game: HSX
Platform: Playstation 2
Studio: Majesco
Rating: 5/10

Game Studio Synopsis: All out anti-gravity racing at its best. This game is about speed! Stay on the track and come in first place is your mission. Featuring the exclusive Track Editor option where you build your own track then race on it.
Look: First impression of this is that it will remind you of F-Zero. The game zips just as you’d expect from a futuristic racer. The biggest problem is that the graphics are grainy and you wouldn’t call the effects special.

Feel: The pod feels responsive to the controls. It’s pretty easy to master the controls. The tracks on the other hand can throw you for a loop, literally. You’ve got a sweet pod car, which hovers and can take on crazy loops and zip through interesting tracks. Even if you become bored with these tracks you can make your own. This is the rare occasion where you might actually want to make a track. It’s fairly easy to do, although limited and only fun for so long.

Hear: Boring soundtrack and the sound effects aren’t exactly going to blow you away either.

Finally: Hey you get what you pay for, it’s only like ten bucks. If this game was priced at $50.00 I’d rate it about 3/10, but at this price you can jack it up to about 7/10, thus an overall score of 5/10.
