Fur Fighters

Fur Fighters
Game: Fur Fighters
Platform: Dreamcast
Studio: Acclaim
Rating: 9/10

Killing teddy bears is fun. Maybe thats just my sick sense of entertainment, but Fur Fighters is fantastic.

Look:

The greatest thing about Fur Fighters is the graphics. They are stunning. The visual appeal alone is enough to make this game worth buying. I happen to enjoy cartoonish games as much as those that look real. Sometimes the thought of being involved in a cartoon is appealing since its what Ive dreamed of since the days when I watched Wyle E. Coyote trying to drop that safe on Roadrunner.

Feel:

If the look is enough to buy, its the gameplay that keeps you coming back for more. The levels are nice and long. Theyve been mapped out with good competition in mind. The game thinks. I love that. And if you keep playing, you will keep getting more and more involved in it. Fur Fighters absorbs you.

Hear:

The music lacks a bit, but the audio is as fun as the game looks.

Finally:

The camera views are a pain in the rear. Sometimes they are fine, but then they get out of wack and lose focus. Also, General Bristol giving away all the secrets can get annoying. Sometimes Id like to skip that but seemingly cant. Whats up with that? But thats nit-picking. Im just trying to find fault in a game that is near perfect, so Ill just stop and say, “Buy the damn game.”
