Tiffany Darwisch had a brief career as a teenage dance-pop singer in the late ’80s, scoring two consecutive number one singles — “I Think We’re Alone Now” and “Could’ve Been” — from her 1987 quadruple-platinum debut album, Tiffany. While her 1988 album, Hold an Old Friend’s Hand, featured the Top Ten single “All This Time” and went platinum. New Inside was released in 1990. More than ten years after her reign as a pop princess, Tiffany resurfaced to the recording studio to issue The Color of Silence in fall 2000. She also joined John Mellencamp to duet on his 1983 cut “Pink Houses” at the annual Farm Aid concert that same year
