Manic Street Preachers – Forever Delayed

Manic Street Preachers
Artist: Manic Street Preachers
Title: Forever Delayed
Label: Sony7
Rating: 7/10

I love the Manic Street Preachers, but not for their radio trappings. No I like the stuff that never found its way to a single. But to get a beef out of the way, where are all the Holy Bible tracks? Hello?

If You Are Hearing This For The First Time It was Worth It:
“If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next”
“The Masses Against The Classes” – Give me more!
“Everything Must Go” – Polished and gorgeous.
“Faster” – Punch it. Holy Bible’s only track.
“La Tristesse Durera”
“Kevin Carter” – As gorgeous as death can be.
“You Love Us” – A good kick.
“Suicide Is Painless” – Dark and deadly.

If You Love The Manic Street Preachers Then You Are Still Waiting:
“Motorcycle Emptiness” – Blah.
“Tsunami” – Humbug.
“So Why So Sad” – It’s not the Beach Boys, but they try.

If You Have Heard The Manics And Are Going To Buy This For Something New:
“There By The Grace Of God” – Another long title, but an interesting track nonetheless.
“Door To The River” – Dark, moody, thankfully its better than the last record.

Where the hell are “Found That Soul” and “Stay Beautiful”. Yes I am bitter. Fool. Instead of giving us beef they gave us flash. Hell. Buy The Holy Bible. The bonus remix cd is a nightmare. Use it as a Frisbee.
